Sometimes the best next step is: “I have reached the point where continuing could make this worse.”

That is not giving up

The “Before I Continue” Test

  3. What could this change affect?
  4. Can I reverse it?
  5. Is my important data backed up?
  6. Do I understand the instructions?
  7. Am I using a trusted source?

If several answers are “I don't know,” stop.
